About the Race
Each year the Parks Foundation hosts the BEST race in New Braunfels. Runners and Walkers get to experience one of the best times in New Braunfels floating down the Comal River! Enjoy two beautiful rivers and three parks along our great route for the Annual Dos Rios Splash & Dash 5K. The race proceeds benefits the New Braunfels Parks Foundation 2024 priority projects like the New Braunfels Cemetery Field of Graves Memorial, Market Plaza, and other renovations to our beautiful parks!
What is the race route? You will run from Cypress Bend Park to Prince Solms Park and then back to Cypress Bend Park. If you opt in for the Chute Challenge, you’ll get to float along the crystal clear Comal River and cool off before you finish back on land!
Where do I get a tube? When you arrive at Prince Solms Park you will be provided a tube and float the river through the tube chute. You will then continue the rest of your run. If you don’t want to float then just keep running! Your race packet will have a tube chute/float pass that you can use to come back and enjoy a free float down the tube chute after the race!
What about my stuff? If you decide to float through the Tube Chute, just before you get your tube, there will be a monitored table where you can leave your belongings (shoes, headphones, phones, keys etc.) When you get out of the river you will pass by the same table to collect your belongings.
Do you give out awards? Yes! Awards are given for each category of race.
